Paso Robles general contractor completes renovation of local Chicken Shack franchise

Al fresco dining gained attention and popularity in Paso Robles in 2020 as an opportunity for restaurants to stay open during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Construction of the Central Pacific, the general contractor of Paso Robles recently announced the completion of a renovation project for a new Chicken Shack franchise in Paso Robles. The renovation included a permanent outdoor dining area, upgrading the building’s exterior, and sidewalk compliance with the American Disabilities Act (ADA).

Al fresco dining gained attention and popularity in Paso Robles in 2020 as an opportunity for restaurants to stay open during the COVID-19 pandemic. The town of Paso Robles has helped local restaurants create temporary “parklets” for outdoor dining, using approximately 68 parking spaces across town for this purpose. Several restaurants already had permanent outdoor tables and seating, some facing the city streets and others in the courtyards. The new Chicken Shack headquarters at 1401 Park St. is the latest addition to the city’s permanent outdoor restaurant seats.

“The new dining room is beautiful with its granite counters,” said Chicken Shack local general manager Kassi Bledsoe. The four tables can accommodate six people each on permanently installed sidewalk seating, the perfect way to enjoy a meal and people-watch at the same time. Two of the tables are on the Park St. side of the restaurant and two are on the 14th St. side. The restaurant is located on the corner of Park and 14th Street in the city center, within walking distance of shops, art galleries, Downtown City Park and wine tastings.

“We painted the entire building, installed cool-looking original awnings and created a lovely permanent outdoor seating area,” said Frank Cueva, owner of Central Pacific Construction, the General contractor Paso Robles. “We are honored to have been the company chosen for this project. “

Cliff Branch of Cal Coast Commercial, the company that manages 1401 Park Street, said: “We are delighted that this new restaurant has come to Paso Robles to fill the vacant anchor space. Frank Cueva and Central Pacific Construction did a great job. The public now has brand new sidewalks that meet ADA codes. “

The company has a reputation for providing excellent service, bold and stylish designs, and on-time and on-budget delivery.
