SR Construction is proud to announce that it has been appointed General Contractor for the recently announced new six-story patient tower at Henderson Hospital, a member of the Valley Health System. The new tower, worth $ 150 million, will add 93 beds to the health facility and 84 additional beds are included in construction plans for the expansion project. The tower is expected to open at the end of 2021.

The first phase of the expansion project includes the addition of 36 medical / surgical beds, the relocation of the existing 25-bed observational nursing unit and the increase of the 33-bed observation unit. This phase will also include the expansion of the women’s services area of ââHenderson Hospital by adding six labor and delivery rooms, another Caesarean section surgery room, 14 new neonatal intensive care unit beds (NICU ) and more antepartum beds for high-risk mothers. to be. To meet the expected increase in patient volume, a three-story parking structure with 480 spaces will be built, with the capacity to expand to six floors. Construction of the tower follows the $ 24 million expansion that included a 25-bed observational nursing unit adjacent to the emergency department, eight additional rapid medical / emergency triage rooms, a second CT scanner, construction of several more operating theaters, and additional improvements to emergency entrances and lobbies. The expansion of the emergency department and observation unit was completed by SR Construction and opened for patient care on July 24, 2020, one month ahead of schedule.
